Nature Camps is a very important part of my son's (and my) life. Given the space and time to be himself, he thrives and grows. He spends the whole year counting down to camp time!
Nature Camp is the kind of place you thought didn't exist anymore. A place where kids are free to make choices, roam free in nature, explore, build, and ask questions and figure out solutions. The staff are incredible - warm, kind, fun and compassionate and able to nurture a love of nature and the great outdoors while also learning to be a "good citizen of the world". Kids explore the woods, carve soapstone, kayak, swim, make journals, build with rocks, swing on giant rope swings and climb the ropes course, play in the mud, sing songs, learn to identify various flora and fauna, etc etc etc! My son is at his happiest at camp, and I am so grateful for Don and the counselors for creating this haven in the woods.
